Prof. Aleksander Siger is a Professor at Poznań University of Life Sciences. He received his M.Sc. in Food Technology Engineering from August Cieszkowski Agricultural University in 2000, and a Ph.D. and D.SC. in Food Technology and Nutrition from Poznań University of Life Sciences in 2007 and 2016, respectively. His main research interests include fats and oils chemistry and technology, fats and oils' modification and health implications, cold-pressed oils, bioactive compounds in oilseeds, and edible oils, researching the potential of using alternative raw material sources for producing food rich in bioactive compounds.
