Dr. Przemysław Łukasz Kowalczewski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Technology of Plant Origin, Poznań University of Life Sciences, Poznań, Poland. He obtained a Ph.D. in Food Technology from Poznań University of Life Sciences in 2016, and D.Sc. in 2023. Dr. Kowalczewski’s research area is focused on health-promoting food, especially the design and testing of the biological activity of such products. His research topics mainly include bioactive compounds, medicinal plants, antioxidants, edible insects, functional food, plant-based food additives, waste management in food systems, plant-based meat analogues, and biopolymers.
