Green practices are becoming increasingly important throughout the world. The performance of SMEs is becoming a crucial issue because of increasing awareness of consumers about environmentally friendly products; therefore, enterprises not following green practices may face a significant decline in performance. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to identify the mediating role of green product innovation between green entrepreneurial orientation, green transformational leadership, and the performance of SMEs. To meet the objectives of the study, structural equation modeling was applied to the data collected from 384 manufacturing SMEs operating in Amman, Jordan, using systematic sampling. The findings revealed that the mediating role of green product innovation was insignificant at the 5% level of significance but significant at the 10% level of significance. All other relationships were significant at the 5% level of significance. This study provides theoretical support for investing more resources in green product innovation to gain sustainability.

The study investigated that whether the relationship between macroeconomic fluctuations and stock indexes is symmetrical or asymmetrical in nature. This study employed nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag models for the times before and after 2008 economic crises. The overall sample period contains 168 observations between January 2004 and December 2018. The period between January 2004 and December 2007 was considered as pre-economic crisis period containing 48 observations whereas, period between January 2008 and December 2018 was considered as post-economic crisis containing 120 observations. Four different types of unit root tests, i.e., augmented Dickey Fuller test, Philips Perron test, Zivot-Andrew unit root, and Kwiatkowski Philips Schmidt Shin test have been employed to find out the stationarity in data. Findings suggested that in the long run and before global financial crisis, investors react differently to gold prices and oil prices. In long run and after crisis, investors have shown different reactions to all macroeconomic fluctuations. This showed that after crisis, investors reacted differently to positive and negative shocks of gold prices, exchange rate, and interest rate. Another interesting aspect that after global financial crisis, investors reacted only to positive shocks of gold prices, interest rates, and exchange rate in long run. This research contributes to existing literature by identifying that relationship between macroeconomic fluctuation and stock prices is asymmetric in nature whereas, in previous researches authors have assumed linearity in the time series data. The asymmetric effect of macroeconomic variables on stock prices should be considered for investors, governments, and other stakeholders during investment decisions.

Innovation in green technologies is a key factor propelling Jordanian sustainable development in the small and medium enterprises for achieving sustainability. Jordan is considered as a hub of small and medium enterprises, however, despite technological advancements and the efforts of the government, small and medium enterprises in Jordan are scarcely catering the aspect of green activities and researchers have paid less attention towards the same. Green product and green process innovation mode choices have drawn enough attention recently, but limited researchers have thoroughly examined the pathways through which green innovation is transmitted to small and medium enterprises’ performance. Green product and process innovation are the two main streams of green innovation that can enhance small and medium enterprises’ performance. The current research builds the framework for SMEs performance based on green product innovation and green process innovation following earlier research that have been conducted in the context of developed countries. It conducts an empirical analysis using responses of 384 manufacturing sector small and medium enterprises in Jordan. The findings demonstrate that small and medium enterprises can perform better when green products and processes are innovated. One significant moderating variable over the performance paths of small and medium enterprises is technological turbulence. The findings of the research contribute to a better understanding of green innovation and have implications for designing policies that promote green development.

Purpose In developing countries, health and safety is not given importance especially in small and medium sized enterprises. Incidences of health and safety are continuously increasing. Major reason is lack of work place safety culture. Secondly, enterprises lack resources, therefore, it becomes hard for them to provide safety climate. Along with safety climate and safety culture behavior of leadership play a significant role towards safety performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the moderating role of leadership for gaining safety performance through safety culture and safety climate. Materials and Methods For the said purpose the authors collected data from the labors and managers. A structured questionnaire was adopted and after ensuring the reliability structural equation modeling was applied. Results and Conclusions The findings revealed that safety culture and safety climate both have a significant impact over safety performance, however, transformational leadership only moderates the relationship between safety culture and safety performance. The identification of moderating role of transformational leadership is a significant contribution in the social cognitive theory. Future researchers are also guided to identify the same link over large industries of developing countries.
