Prof. Dr. Alfonso Expósito is Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics (Economic Structure) at the University of Malaga and a member of the Water, Environmental, and Agricultural Resources Economics (WEARE) research group. He possesses extensive research experience in both microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis, with a particular focus on water and environmental economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Seville (Spain) and a Master’s degree in International Business from University College Dublin (Ireland).In addition to his academic career, he has substantial international professional experience in the industrial sector. He has also contributed to the mentoring of start-ups in the water services sector through initiatives at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the University of Malaga. Consulted expert in water-related topics by the World Bank, European Commission, Water4All Partnership, and Spanish and Andalusian Governments, among other institutions. His research has been widely published in high-impact international journals, and he actively participates in various national and international projects related to his fields of expertise.
