As a fast, high-accuracy and non-contact method, chromatic confocal microscopy is widely used in micro dimensional measurement. In this area, thickness measurement for transparent specimen is one of the typical applications. In conventional coaxial illumination mode, both the illumination and imaging axes are perpendicular to the test specimen. At the same time, there are also geometric measurement limitations in conventional mode. When measuring high-transparency specimen, the energy efficiency will be quite low, and the reflection will be very weak. This limitation will significantly affect the signal-to-noise ratio. The inclined illumination mode is a good solution to overcome this bottleneck, but the thickness results may vary at different axial positions of the sample. In this paper, an error correction method for thickness measurement of transparent samples is proposed. In the authors’ work, the error correction model was analyzed and simulated, and the influence caused by the different axial positions of sample could be theoretically eliminated. The experimental results showed that the thickness measurement of the samples was practically usable, and the measurement errors were significantly reduced by less than 2.12%, as compared to the uncorrected system. With this error correction model, the standard deviation had decreased significantly, and the axial measurement accuracy of the system can reach the micron level. Additionally, this model has the same correction effect on the samples with different refractive indexes. Therefore, the system can realize the requirement of measurement at different axial positions.

Conventional chromatic confocal systems are mostly single-point coaxial illumination systems with a low signal-to-noise ratio, light energy utility and measurement efficiency. To overcome the above shortcomings, we propose a parallel non-coaxial-illumination chromatic-confocal-measurement system based on an optical fiber bundle. Based on the existing single-point non-coaxial-illumination system, the optical fiber bundle is used as the optical beam splitter to achieve parallel measurements. Thus, the system can yield measurements through line scanning, which greatly improves measurement efficiency. To verify the measurement performance of the system, based on the calibration experiment, the system realizes the measurement of the height of the step, the thickness of the transparent specimen and the reconstruction of the three-dimensional topography of the surface of the step and coin. The experimental results show that the measuring range of the system is 200 μm. The measurement accurcy can reach micron level, and the system can realize a good three-dimensional topography reconstruction effect.

The determination of meshing force and the load sharing ratio of gear teeth is critical to predict the dynamic behavior or the load capacity of gear transmissions. In the previous literature, the dynamic meshing force is usually calculated based on the traditional dynamic model, which ignores the different effects of the meshing characteristics of each pair of teeth on the dynamic behavior of the gear system. In this work, a new calculation method of dynamic meshing force is proposed based on the new dynamic model considering the meshing state of multiple pairs of teeth. The difference between the traditional calculation method and the new calculation method of dynamic meshing force is analyzed. Based on the new dynamic model and new calculation method of dynamic meshing force, the influence of different factors on dynamic response and dynamic meshing force are further discussed. The results show that, compared with the traditional calculation method, this new method can be used to effectively calculate the dynamic meshing force and the load sharing ratio of each pair of teeth with different meshing characteristics. The presented method for the calculation of the dynamic meshing force and the load sharing ratio provides an important reference for analyzing and predicting the dynamic behavior or the load capacity of spur gears, especially the high contact ratio (HCR) gears with contact ratio more than two.

Research on space docking technology was first motivated by the application scenario of space station docking in the aviation field. Due to the maturity of this technology, its application field is expanding to other industries. To benefit the intelligent transportation field, this study uses space docking technology to realize combination and reconstruction between car bodies. Different spatial docking methods and structural characteristics are determined by different application scenarios. The docking of the space station is completed in the suspended state of the body in the outer space environment, which requires advanced technology, is high in hardware cost, and involves a small channel diameter. In this study, the docking of the reconstructed vehicle is completed on the ground; thus, it is low in hardware cost and involves a large channel diameter. Based on the above technical requirements, a three−point circular peripheral docking method is designed for the reconstructed vehicle. A visual positioning system is built, the mapping relationship between the camera coordinate system and the landmark coordinate system rotation matrix and translation vector is established, and the adaptive capture behavior is realized by path planning through the inverse pose solution model. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the active and passive vehicle bodies can achieve compliance capture with small collision force under the two conditions of forward collision and oblique collision, and the recovery coefficient after collision and docking is in the range of (0, 0.01). The acceleration decay process under two working conditions is measured in the crash test of a sample vehicle, which verifies the feasibility of the space reconstruction of the vehicle docking mechanism and the ability of this configuration to achieve tasks, providing a constructive idea for space docking technology with a large channel diameter.
