In 2008, I finished my Master of Science thesis in Materials Science and Engineering entitled “On the stability and magnetic microstructure of YFe11-xTiy, YFe11-xMoy, and NdFe11-xTiy compounds” at Instituto Superior Técnico/Lisbon, Portugal.
I finished my PhD at Instituto Superior Técnico in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. My thesis is in the area of nanotechnology, aiming to increase metals' properties by adding nanoparticles, and is entitled "Carbon dispersions in nanostructured metals". In March 2013, I started a post-doctoral fellowship involving the fabrication of oxide-based thin films for electronic applications at CENIMAT/Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisboa, Portugal. Since 2018, I have been an Assistant Professor at CENIMAT/i3N/Materials Science and Engineering Department of FCT/UNL.
Over the past few years, I have worked closely on materials' characterization techniques in the Institute laboratory, including transmission and scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.
