A circular economy emerged as an alternative transition model, which is considered to be a solution to massive environmental degradation. The transition from a linear economy to a circular economy requires companies to be actively involved in more sustainable practices. For such a transition, companies must rethink, innovate on business models, and encourage sustainability-oriented innovation to deliver customer value, while simultaneously considering environmental and social aspects. On the other hand, the role of the circular economy in energy conservation and infrastructure has not been mapped out in the current literature. This systematic literature review seeks to map out the main interrelated topics of the circular economy and sustainability-oriented innovation, describing internal and external factors that need to be considered in the transition to a clean energy future. Key lines of research are identified, and suggestions for future research and for how to facilitate the movement towards a circular economy are provided. This study contributes to an enhancement of the literature by identifying priority areas regarding the circular economy and sustainability-oriented innovation to encourage future research that contributes to sustainability and environmental preservation.
The growth in the number of cars and the increasing demand for fuels require scientific work to develop alternative fuels. The energy crisis, which is becoming more and more evident, is not unimportant. The manuscript presents an analysis of the possibility of using agricultural biofuels to power a diesel engine. The analysis was carried out in relation to the operation of the engine on conventional fuels. The D-241 engine under investigation is mainly used for agricultural tractors. During the tests carried out, the load characteristics of the diesel engine under investigation were determined as a function of fuel type and speed. The concentrations of CO, HC and NOx were analysed. Laboratory tests of the engine were carried out with a wide range of external loads to evaluate measurement errors for the measurement method. Experiments with the engine under investigation have shown that the hourly and specific biofuel consumption of diesel engines increases by an average of 11–16%. CO and NOx concentrations were found to be lower with increasing load compared to conventional diesel engines, while NOx concentrations are slightly increased. In all cases investigated, a decrease in exhaust development was observed.
The value of the motion resistance is one of the important characteristics that determines the technical and operational properties of the vehicle, in particular its fuel economy under operating conditions. This article summarizes the approaches to determining the rolling resistance of a wheeled vehicle in straight motion, which is a separate case from curved motion. The value of this parameter is one of the vehicle components of the motion resistance along a curved path. The regularities of changes in the motion resistance of a two-axle wheeled vehicle along a curvilinear trajectory are determined based on the determination of the motion resistance of individual wheels, which considers resistance to rectilinear motion and additional resistance along a curved path caused by the twisting and lateral displacement of the wheel disc relative to the tire patch. Analytical dependences of changes in the motion resistance along a curvilinear trajectory of two-axle vehicles with the design features of transmission, placement of tires, and their characteristics were obtained. It was found that reducing the radius of curvature of the trajectory to the minimum turning radius increases the motion resistance coefficient for the investigated vehicles by 1.68−2.04 times in relation to the rolling resistance coefficient in straight motion.
In the last few decades, the topic of sustainability has become more and more widespread, which is logically explained by its relevance, given the environmental conditions and challenges posed by climate change. However, there are many contradictions and controversies regarding sustainable development. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to try to understand the true essence of sustainability as a concept. As a subject of research, no less relevant, one might say, even a “fashionable” industry today, the renewable energy was chosen. It is on the example of the latter that we try to explore the “reality” and the “possibility” of sustainable development.

The object of this study is the process of implementation of control measures with the help of distance learning technologies for students of technical specialties. The problem of the application of information and communication technologies for the effective implementation of final control during distance learning has been studied. An authentic algorithm for creating a test on the Moodle platform has been developed. The proposed algorithm is based on the use of the classical structure of the ticket, which allows implementing an approach to final control that is closest to the traditional one. This is important for assessing the acquired practical students competences of engineering specialties since for them the control measure may include a combination of textual, graphic, and computational tasks. The application of the algorithm in practice allows one to improve the quality of the final assessment by ensuring equal conditions for students, attracting the optimal set of tools for this, as well as identifying the student and thus ensuring the transparency of the control measure. Verification of the developed algorithm during the quarantine period sessions at the Faculty of Transport Construction of the National Transport University demonstrated a better adaptability of students to conduct control measures in remote form. This is confirmed by an increase in quality (from 1.16 % to 6.8 %) and success (to 7.4 %) rates among students, as well as a high level of student satisfaction in 2022 with the effectiveness of online learning, which was determined through an anonymous questionnaire. Promising steps regarding the use of the algorithm in the final evaluation are the development of measures for the implementation of automated recognition of the emotional status of students
Realizing the problems that constantly accompany the use of road transport, against the background of the increasing shortage of liquid fuels of petroleum origin in Ukraine and other countries, serious attention has long been paid to the use of alternative, more environmentally friendly types of motor fuels, which include biofuels, natural gas and hydrogen. At the same time, the issue of reducing environmental pollution by road transport is an important component of the general environmental problem, the severity of which increases every year. With the significant growth of food industry facilities, there is a need to dispose of food products, namely food fats, which create a negative impact on the environment. Therefore, a possible way to solve the problem of disposal of edible fats can be their processing into diesel biofuel. The use of biodiesel fuel from recycled food fat waste does not require significant changes in the engine design, at the same time, it will allow to expand the fuel base of diesel vehicles and reduce their harmful impact on the environment. The article presents the results of bench tests of a passenger car with a diesel engine when operating on diesel fuel and diesel biofuel, namely: emissions of harmful substances and fuel consumption by cycle, comparative load characteristics of a diesel engine in a passenger car. The possibility of using diesel biofuel from recycled food fat waste in diesel engines of modern cars has been confirmed. The conducted studies proved the reduction of the total mass emissions, reduced to carbon monoxide emissions, for work on diesel biofuel. Keywords: diesel, diesel biofuel, passenger car, experimental tests, fuel consumption, harmful emissions.
