Mirca Marini was born in Florence, Italy on 20 November 1968 and works as Associate Professor of Methods and Didactics of Sports at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Section of Anatomy and Histology, School of Human Health Sciences, University of Florence, Florence, Italy. She received the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with full marks in 1995, diploma in specialization school of Phoniatrics in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in Human Morphology and Morphogenesis in 2003 at the University of Florence, Florence, Italy. She has been Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2003 to 2005 at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Section of Anatomy and Histology, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, where from 2005 at 2019 served as Assistant Professor of Methods and Didactics of Sports (M-EDF/02). In 2017 she obtained the National Scientific Habilitation for Associate Professor of 06/N2 – Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and in 2018 Associate Professor of Human Anatomy from the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. In 2018 she obtained the National Scientific Habilitation for Full Professor of 06/N2 – Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. Prof. M. Marini is author of numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals indexed in PubMed and proceedings of national and international congresses.
