Prof. Dr. Yaozhong Pan is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Dean at the Faculty of Geographical Sciences, Beijing Normal University, and a Researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science. He has been engaged in the research of theory, methods, and application of remote sensing science and technology in the fields of agriculture, statistics, environment, disaster, finance, and insurance for a long time. He is also a special allowance expert of the State Council, an expert of the Disaster Reduction Committee, a statistical remote sensing expert of the National Bureau of Statistics, and a director of the China Geographic Information Industry Association.
