The accurate prediction of scallion prices can not only optimize supply chain management and help related practitioners and consumers to make more reasonable purchasing decisions, but also provide guidance for farmers’ planting choices, thus enhancing market efficiency and promoting the sustainable development of the whole industry. This study adopts the idea of decomposition–denoising–aggregation, using three decomposition and denoising techniques combined with three single prediction models to form a base model. Various base models are divided into different combinations based on whether the computational structure is the same or not, and the optimal weights of the combinations are determined by using the improved particle swarm optimization–genetic algorithm (PSO-GA) optimization algorithm in different combinations. The experimental results show that the scallion price in Shandong Province from 2014 to 2023 shows an overall upward trend, and there is a cyclical and seasonal fluctuation pattern of “high in winter and low in summer”; the semi-heterogeneous-PSO-GA model reduces the MAPE by 49.03% and improves the directional accuracy by 41.52%, compared to the optimal single prediction model, ARIMA. In summary, the combined model has the most accurate prediction and strong robustness, which can provide ideas and references for the difficult problem of determining the optimal weights of the combined model in the field of predicting the prices of agricultural products.

In order to accomplish accurate mushroom classification and measurement, it is necessary to optimize the existing classification algorithm and measurement devices, as well as to design a specific robot to improve classification accuracy and measurement efficiency. In order to achieve the above objectives, a research-level verification of mushroom grading using Yolov5 + OpenCV and a mushroom measuring system using a resistance strain gauge sensor was carried out. In the aspect of mushroom grading, a method based on the OpenCV visual library was used to identify the minimum quadrilateral outside the mushroom contour, allowing the size of the mushroom to be measured. The experiment’s results show that the method can assess target objects that are occluded with each other under different illumination conditions with 96% accuracy. In the measurement of mushrooms, the strain of the resistance is converted into an analog signal, and the weight of different grades of mushrooms is converted according to the linear relationship after processing by the detection circuit module. Through this method, the error range is successfully controlled within ±0.02 kg, which meets the requirements of accurate measurement of mushrooms. The results of field experiments show that the proposed accurate grading and measurement method of Lentinula edodes is effective and feasible, and provides technical support for the intelligent grading and measurement of Lentinula edodes in production units.

One of the crucial factors in grain storage is appropriate moisture content, which plays a significant role in reducing storage losses and ensuring quality. However, currently available humidity sensors on the market fail to meet the demands of modern large-scale grain storage in China in terms of price, size, and ease of implementation. Therefore, this study aims to develop an economical, efficient, and easily deployable grain humidity sensor suitable for large-scale grain storage environments. Simultaneously, it constructs humidity calibration models applicable to three major grain crops: millet, rice, and wheat. Starting with the probe structure, this study analyzes the ideal probe structure for grain humidity sensors. Experimental validations are conducted using millet, rice, and wheat as experimental subjects to verify the accuracy of the sensor and humidity calibration models. The experimental results indicate that the optimal length of the probe under ideal conditions is 0.67 m. Humidity calibration models for millet, rice, and wheat are constructed using SVM models, with all three models achieving a correlation coefficient R2 greater than 0.9. The measured data and model-calculated data show a linear relationship, closely approximating y = x, with R2 values of all three fitted models above 0.9. In conclusion, this study provides reliable sensor technological support for humidity monitoring in large-scale grain storage and processing, with extensive applications in grain storage and grain safety management.

In order to ensure the price stability of niche agricultural products and enhance farmers’ income, the study delves into the pattern of the ginger price fluctuation rule and its main influencing factors. By combining seasonal decomposition STL, long and short-term memory network LSTM, attention mechanism ATT and Kolmogorov-Arnold network, a combined STL-LSTM-ATT-KAN prediction model is developed, and the model parameters are finely tuned by using multi-population adaptive particle swarm optimisation algorithm (AMP-PSO). Based on an in-depth analysis of actual data on ginger prices over the past decade, the STL-LSTM-ATT-KAN model demonstrated excellent performance in terms of prediction accuracy: its mean absolute error (MAE) was 0.111, mean squared error (MSE) was 0.021, root mean squared error (RMSE) was 0.146, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.998. This study provides the Ginger Industry, agricultural trade, farmers and policymakers with digitalised and intelligent aids, which are important for improving market monitoring, risk control, competitiveness and guaranteeing the stability of supply and price.

Constructing a temperature and humidity prediction model for greenhouse-grown tomatoes is of great significance for achieving resource-efficient and sustainable greenhouse environmental control and promoting healthy tomato growth. However, traditional models often struggle to simultaneously capture long-term temporal trends, short-term local dynamic variations, and the coupling relationships among multiple variables. To address these issues, this study develops an iT-LSTM-CA multi-step prediction model, in which the inverted Transformer (iTransformer, iT) is employed to capture global dependencies across variables and long temporal scales, the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network is utilized to extract short-term local variation patterns, and a cross-attention (CA) mechanism is introduced to dynamically fuse the two types of features. Experimental results show that, compared with models such as Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), LSTM, and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM), the iT-LSTM-CA achieves the best performance in multi-step forecasting tasks at 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, and 24 h horizons. For temperature prediction, the R2 ranges from 0.96 to 0.98, with MAE between 0.42 °C and 0.79 °C and RMSE between 0.58 °C and 1.06 °C; for humidity prediction, the R2 ranges from 0.95 to 0.97, with MAE between 1.21% and 2.49% and RMSE between 1.78% and 3.42%. These results indicate that the iT-LSTM-CA model can effectively capture greenhouse environmental variations and provide a scientific basis for environmental control and management in tomato greenhouses.
