Associate professor (D.SC.Eng.) in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Gdansk University of Technology. His main research areas are traffic modeling and forecasting, transport planning, intelligent transport systems, traffic engineering, and mobility management. He is a graduate of the University (1994). He worked as a road planner in BPBK and Transprojekt Gdański Office (1993-1996) and held the position of assistant in the Highway Engineering Department in 1996. He finished his Ph.D. thesis, “Influence of Street Network Structure on Efficiency of Functioning of Traffic in Cities” in 2005. He has been an associate professor since 2020. He is a member of the board of the Association of Intelligent Transport Systems, “ITS Poland” (2007 – 2015) and a manager and researcher in many national and international research projects, i.e., CIVITAS DYN@MO, ZEUS, FLOW, BUSTRIP, and RID 4D. He is author of over 100 scientific publications, as well as co-author of monographs and textbooks in the field of transport.
