Dr. Jorge Yepes

My research activity has been mainly centered on the study of the relationships between tectonics and geomorphology on the granitic and volcanic terrains by using cartographic and photogrammetric methods, field observations and geotechnical essays. I have carried out fluvial geomorphology and neotectonical studies on the Spanish old massifs. Currently, my research interests lie mainly in understanding, from a geotechnical approach, the risk of landslides and rockfalls in mountainous areas within volcanic countries.
