Vijayakumar Krishnasamy received his Bachelor's and postgraduate degrees from Annamalai University and obtained his Ph.D. degree from SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Currently, he is working as a Professor and Head in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. His research interests include power system modeling, power electronics converters for grid-connected systems, and computational intelligence applications in power systems. He has published more than 130 papers in various reputed journals. He was awarded the Best Teacher award in the Department of EEE SRMIST for the academic years 2004 and 2006. He is a senior member of IEEE, Fellow member of IE(I), and member of various professional bodies such as IET, IEICE, ISTE, and ISCA.
