The research was carried out in three vegetative seasons 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2018/19, on an experimental plot in Padinska Skela, Belgrade, Serbia. The supplement included four NPK treatments (kg ha−1) and foliar treatment with effective microorganisms (EM 7 l ha−1) T1-129: 60: 60; T2-129: 60: 60 + 1 EM; T3-106: 60: 60 + 2 EM ; T4-83: 60: 60 + 3 EM. Four wheat genotypes were sown (Ratarica, Pobeda, Nogal, and Apache). Thousand grain weight and grain yield were determined. The thousand grain weight (TGW) was in the variety Pobeda 43.73 g, and the highest grain yield was in the variety Ratarica 7.02 tha−1. Both varieties are medium late, bread varieties. The treatments have different effects on the studied variables. The TGW was the highest in the T2 treatment of 40.81 g and the grain yield in T3 of 6.62 t ha−1, which was at the level of statistical significance of p > 0.01. The crude protein content was highest in the treatment of T2 13.93% (p > 0.01).

The aim of the work was to examine the influence of cover crops with the application of microbiological fertilizer on the nutritional properties and antioxidant activity of sweet corn as a response to the resulting climate changes. In the two-year research results (2014-2016), significant differences were found in the content of phenol, vitamin C, glutathione and protein. The average phenol content in the grain in the first examined year varied from 317.21 μg g-1 to 574.40 μg g-1, while in the second year it was measured from 842.98 μg g-1 to 1825.13 μg g-1. Common vetch (1777.02 μg g-1) and winter fodder pea (1251.68 μg g-1) showed the best results among cover crops, while microbiological fertilizers had no statistically significant effect. The average content of vitamin C was higher in the first year, especially in common vetch (30.80%) and the mixture of vetch with winter oats (32.56%) with the application of fertilizers. Winter forage kale showed superiority in terms of glutathione content, with average values from 1543.31 mmol g-1 to 1619.58 mmol g-1. A significant difference in glutathione content was observed in the second year in the mixture of common vetch and oats with fertilizer (1561.01 mmol g-1), compared to the same variety without fertilizer (762.40 mmol g-1). Common vetch as a cover crop showed an advantage in kernel protein content (11.68%), as well as a mixture of winter fodder peas and oats (11.64%). These results indicate the potential of cover crops to improve the nutritional quality of sweet corn.

There is an unmet need for an affordable, high-quality, and non-thermally processed source of omega-3 fatty acids. Cold-pressed flaxseed oil comes closest to meeting these criteria. Flaxseed oil is also subject to rapid oxidative degradation. Sesame, black cumin, and apricot kernel oils are already used as functional foods and are more resistant to oxidative degradation. GC, HPLC, DPPH, the Folin−Ciocalteu method, and OXITEST were applied to the four cold-pressed oils and their binary blends with flaxseed oil. The fatty acid profile showed that the dominant fatty acid in flaxseed oil was linolenic acid with a content of 52.27 ± 0.17%, while oleic acid dominated in apricot kernel oil (69.45 ± 0.18%) and linoleic acid (58.80 ± 0.07%) in black cumin oil, while sesame oil was characterized by approximately equal proportions of oleic (42.21 ± 0.20%) and linoleic acids (43.37 ± 0.07%). The content of oleic acid showed a moderate, statistically significant correlation with the oxidative stability of oils and blends. The antioxidant capacity of flaxseed oil (25 ± 1.4 μmol TE/g) was most strongly influenced by the addition of black cumin oil (75 ± 3.5 μmol TE/g), so that the highest antioxidant capacity was achieved by the blend with an addition of 50% of this oil (57.5 ± 2.4 μmol TE/g). Oxidative stability tests show that apricot kernel oil stabilizes flaxseed oil the most and increases the oxidative stability of the blend by up to 60%.

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) became an "absolute hit" on the world market, thanks to its economic importance. Oil and various products with a high percentage of protein are obtained by processing soybeans, which are used in the nutrition of domestic animals and human nutrition as raw materials in various industries. Namely, its importance is reflected in the composition of the grain, i.e. 45% protein, 20-22% oil, 20-26% carbohydrates, 5% minerals (phosphorus, potassium, calcium, sulphur, magnesium, etc.) and many vitamins (mainly A and B) (Yalçin 2018). Zhang et al. (2013) state that soy proteins contain high-quality amino acids, which, in terms of quality and importance, can be a substitute for meat proteins in the diet, especially for vegetarians. Soybean oils are multi-beneficial for diets lacking in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Soybean oil is characterised by a good ratio of fatty acids, namely: unsaturated linoleic, oleic and linolenic acids, and as representatives of saturated fatty acids: palmitic and stearic acids (Wang et al. 2019).

The aim of the study was to use a multi-criteria decisionmaking method to make a rational choice for a new location for the distribution centre of agricultural products in the northeastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically in five populated areas. The required criteria were selected based on experiences from previous research in this field, and decision-makers involved in the selection were engineers and technologists from the company in question. The results indicate that the criteria of construction cost and market connectivity gained the greatest importance, and Brčko was chosen as the location for the future distribution centre among the five populated areas. Additionally, the successful application of the used multi-criteria decision-making method, in this case, the CoCoSo method, was demonstrated. This could lead to improvements in making future business decisions within this economic sector.

Organic agriculture in Serbia is represented by only 0.4% of total agricultural production, which places Serbia at the back of list of European countries and countries in the region. Such production should be part of a rural development strategy. The aim of this work was to establish what would be the motivation of young people to start organic production, on which the perspective of this production depends. A survey conducted on 100 young people, students of the Unit for Agricultural and Business Studies and Tourism was used as a method of work. The results of the survey were summarized, presented as a percentage and described. The results of the survey indicate that 70% of respondents would like to engage in organic plant production, primarily due to the production of high quality food and environmental protection. However, the main shortcomings are insufficient information, insufficient financial support, difficult plant protection and insufficiently organized purchase of products. Most young people would choose to engage in fruit growing (53%).
