(1) Background: Traditional metal-ceramic restorations are considered as a standard in the evaluation of new technologies. A critical factor in their longevity is represented by their adaptability; The purpose of this study was to evaluate the marginal and internal gap of ceramic-fused to metal crowns with frameworks obtained by additive manufacturing (AM) technologies and the influence of veneering process on their fit; (2) Methods: Metal-ceramic crowns have been produced by conventional lost-wax technology (T), digital milling (F), selective laser sintering (SLS) and selective laser melting (SLM). The adaptability was assessed using silicone replicas before and after ceramic veneering; (3) Results: The best values were obtained for the milled group followed closely by SLM and SLS, and a significantly higher gap for casted copings. The veneering process did not significantly influence the adaptability of the crowns, regardless of the manufacturing process used for frameworks. The present study promotes additive technologies (AT) as a fast, efficient, and cost-effective alternative to traditional technology. There are fewer steps in which errors can occur when digital technologies are used and the risk of distortion is diminished. (4) Conclusions: CAD/CAM technologies, both additive and subtractive, represent an excellent option to produce time-effective, precise metal-ceramic crowns with excellent adaptation.

Background/Objectives: Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammatory condition associated with systemic vascular dysfunction and elevated cardiovascular risk. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to quantitatively evaluate the association between periodontitis and endothelial dysfunction and to assess the effects of periodontal therapy on endothelial function and inflammatory biomarkers. Methods: Conducted per PRISMA 2020 and registered in PROSPERO (CRD420261309247). Electronic databases (PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library) were searched for observational and interventional studies assessing endothelial function in patients with periodontitis. Risk of bias was evaluated using RoB 2, ROBINS-I, and the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale; certainty of evidence was assessed with GRADE. Pooled effects on flow-mediated dilation (FMD) and inflammatory markers were estimated using random-effects meta-analysis (DerSimonian–Laird). Results: Fourteen studies were included in qualitative synthesis; six contributed quantitative FMD data. Observational studies consistently demonstrated impaired endothelial function and elevated inflammatory markers in patients with periodontitis versus controls. Meta-analysis showed that periodontal therapy significantly improved endothelial function (pooled FMD: +3.3 percentage points; 95% CI 1.7–4.9; I2 = 77%; p < 0.001), though results should be interpreted cautiously given substantial heterogeneity and the limited number of studies (n = 6). Periodontal treatment reduced CRP levels (mean difference −0.38 mg/L; I2 = 41%); IL-6 showed a favorable direction but with very low certainty of evidence. Publication bias could not be reliably assessed given the small number of included studies. Conclusions: Periodontitis is associated with impaired endothelial function and systemic inflammation. Periodontal therapy leads to measurable improvements in both, supporting its role as a potentially modifiable contributor to cardiovascular risk. Larger randomized trials with long-term cardiovascular endpoints are warranted.

Background and Objectives: Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into healthcare management and pharmaceutical marketing workflows, yet determinants of AI adoption intention among non-clinical professionals remain under-studied in Central and Eastern Europe. This cross-sectional study quantified AI adoption intention (AAI) across three professional groups and examined its organizational, cognitive, attitudinal, and regulatory correlates. Methods: We surveyed 127 Romanian professionals (43 hospital administrators, 42 pharmaceutical marketing professionals, 42 community pharmacy managers) using a 46-item structured instrument. The instrument combined items adapted from UTAUT/TAM and organizational-readiness measures with study-specific AI-marketing, AI-literacy, and regulatory-literacy items; Analyses included ANOVA with Tukey HSD, Spearman correlations, age-adjusted OLS regression with HC3 robust standard errors, bootstrap indirect-effect analysis, moderation, exploratory k-means clustering, and exploratory logistic/ROC analysis. Results: AAI differed across groups: pharmaceutical marketing 4.33 ± 0.50, hospital administrators 3.39 ± 0.47, and pharmacy managers 2.88 ± 0.54; all pairwise Tukey contrasts p < 0.001. In the multivariable model (R2 = 0.833)—interpreted cautiously because conceptually related adoption constructs may overlap despite acceptable collinearity diagnostics—perceived usefulness, organizational readiness, and perceived ease of use were the strongest associated factors, while data governance concern was the main negative correlate. Perceived usefulness statistically accounted for 61.7% of the AI literacy–AAI indirect association, and regulatory literacy moderated the AI literacy–AAI association. An exploratory age-adjusted logistic model showed high within-sample discrimination for top-tertile AAI but should be interpreted as convergent validity among survey constructs rather than as a validated screening tool. Conclusions: AI adoption intention in Romanian medical management and pharmaceutical marketing is associated mainly with perceived usefulness and organizational readiness, tempered by data governance concern and regulatory knowledge. Longitudinal, multi-site, real-world implementation studies with external validation are needed.

The interaction between restorative materials and microbial biofilms plays an important role in restoration longevity and the development of secondary caries. This study aimed to perform a multidimensional characterization of four commercially available flowable resin-based dental composites by evaluating their surface roughness, Vickers microhardness, surface morphology, and microbial biofilm formation under standardized in vitro conditions. Filtek™ Bulk Fill Flowable Restorative (3M), Tetric EvoFlow (Ivoclar Vivadent), BRILLIANT Flow (Coltene), and G-ænial™ Universal Injectable (GC) were investigated. Surface roughness was determined by contact profilometry, microhardness was assessed using the Vickers method, and microstructural characteristics were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Microbial biofilm biomass formed by Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and Candida albicans, including both reference strains and clinical isolates, was quantified using a crystal violet assay to compare material-dependent microbial colonization. G-ænial™ Universal Injectable exhibited the lowest roughness values, whereas BRILLIANT Flow showed the highest microhardness. SEM analysis revealed a more homogeneous surface morphology for Filtek™ Bulk Fill Flowable Restorative and G-ænial™ Universal Injectable, while Tetric EvoFlow and BRILLIANT Flow displayed increased topographical heterogeneity. Although modest differences in biofilm biomass accumulation were observed among the investigated composites (4.37–12.21% relative biomass reduction compared with the control), no material demonstrated a distinct advantage under the experimental conditions. The integrated evaluation of surface roughness, microhardness, surface morphology, and microbial biofilm formation provides a comparative characterization of commercially available flowable resin-based composites and contributes to a better understanding of material–biofilm interactions. These findings may support the future development of multifunctional restorative biomaterials with improved biofilm-modulating properties.
