Dr. Nick Papanikolaou

Dr. Nikolaos (Nick) Papanikolaou received his Diploma and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of DUTH in 2013, where he is engaged in teaching and research in the field of Power Electronics. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific and technical papers in his field, cited more than 2400 times in the international bibliography. He also holds two patents for active anti-islanding detection in impedance source inverters and the active loss of neutral detection in electrical installations. He has 20 years of experience in the Electrical Energy Industry and Market, as well as in consultation services for the Greek Industry. In addition, he has been involved with several research programs funded by the EU as well as by National Research Frameworks. Dr. Papanikolaou is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Member of CIGRE, and a Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
