Sandro Dattilo is a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR), Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB), Italy. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Engineering of the University of Catania, Italy, in 2009 and a master’s degree in industrial chemistry at the University of Catania, Italy (110/110 cum laude) in 2005. His scientific know-how extends from synthesizing polymeric materials to their characterization through mass spectrometry techniques. In particular, he is an expert in pyrolysis GC-MS in the de-formulation of polymeric compounds, including additive analysis.
