Agricultural engineer from the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) and civil engineer from Anhanguera University-UNIDERP. He holds a master's in agronomy from UEMS and a PhD in genetics and breeding from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). He is an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), in the Agronomy and Forestry Engineering courses at the Chapadão do Sul Campus (CPCS). He is also a permanent professor and current coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Agronomy at UFMS/CPCS and the Postgraduate Program in Agronomy at UNESP/Ilha Solteira. He is an academic editor for Plos One and an associate editor for Agronomy Journal and Crop Science. He is a reviewer for national funding agencies (CNPq, FUNDECT, among others). He has experience in biometrics, statistics, modeling, and plant breeding and is working on the following themes: non-parametric analysis, multivariate analysis, Bayesian approach, high-precision phenotyping, computational intelligence, genotype and environment interactions, breeding methods, mixed models, and remote sensing.
