Dr. Su is a clinician-scientist dedicated to advancing therapeutic strategies for hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers through investigator-initiated trials and translational research.
My research dissects tumor heterogeneity to advance precision oncology in GI cancers. In pancreatic cancer, I advanced endoscopic biopsy techniques (Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2023) to enable landmark single-cell sequencing studies (ESMO Gastrointestinal Oncology, 2025; Molecular Cancer, 2025) and identified key germline and pharmacogenomic markers to personalize therapy (Journal of Biomedical Science, 2024; ESMO Open, 2023; Clin Cancer Res, 2026). My work in hepatocellular carcinoma has been pivotal in defining the biological underpinnings of immunotherapy response, including pathological response criteria (Lancet Oncology, 2024), features of durable benefit (Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2024), and the critical role of B-cells in treatment efficacy (Journal of Hepatology, 2025).
