Prof. Richard G. Maroun is currently the Head of the research team “Characterization of Bioactive Molecules” at FS. He is a sworn expert in epidemiology and microbiology in the Lebanese courts. He obtained a Master's degree in Microbiology-Virology at University of Paris VII and the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France in 1995. He completed his Ph.D. in 1998, on the discovery of anti-HIV molecules, earning a Ph.D. diploma from University of Paris VII. In 2014, he completed food safety training and obtained a certificate in the "Advanced course in HACCP" from the Campden BRI Institute in the United Kingdom.
