Tareq Alhmiedat is an associate professor in the Department of Information Technology and is Head of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Unit in the Artificial Intelligence and Sensing Technologies Center at the University of Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Loughborough University, UK, 2009. His research interests include tracking mobile targets through wireless sensor networks, robot navigation and orientation, and social robots. He has been involved in various research projects, including SafetyNET, IndoorTrack, diabetic robotics, and WSN environment monitoring.
