She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Malaga, obtaining the Extraordinary PhD Award. From 2011 to 2016 she combined her career as project manager at the Confederación de Empresarios de Málaga with her teaching and research. Thanks to her extensive experience in business organization, in R&D consultancies and in the Business Creation Unit of the University she has developed her scientific career from the beginning with a clear focus on transfer. She joined the University as a full-time lecturer in June 2016 and is currently a lecturer. She has an outstanding scientific production in international indexed journals and has attended international congresses and conferences. The gender perspective plays a leading role. She is currently part of a national project focused on women's start-ups. It is worth mentioning her participation in the international network ESU, her participation in the Chair of Leadership and Women of the University of Murcia, in the University Institute of Gender and Equality of the University of Malaga (IGIUMA) as well as being a researcher in a research group of the Junta de Andalucía SEJ-628, and she has recently been awarded a project as IP Open Innovation in women. Finally, it is worth highlighting the numerous OTRI transfer contracts focused on rural female entrepreneurship with Diputación de Málaga and the Observatory of Female Innovative Entrepreneurship with the international community W STARTUP C.
