Considering the diverse social and environmental issues globally, social entrepreneurship could be the most relevant solution to address social issues by employing a sustainable economic model, particularly for developing nations with limited government support. Hence, we examined social entrepreneurship intention among working adults in Bangladesh using an extended version of the value–belief–norm model. We used a cross-sectional design to arrange an online questionnaire and collect quantitative data from 187 respondents. SEM-PLS was used for analysis. Findings revealed a significant positive effect of openness to change, self-enhancement, and self-transcendence on problem awareness. Problem awareness was found to significantly affect outcome efficacy and social entrepreneurship intention. Finally, personal norms showed significant positive effects on social entrepreneurship intention. The mediating role of problem awareness and personal norms was further confirmed. Apart from extending the lens of VBN and enriching the current literature, insights from this study could assist policymakers, social organizations, and social entrepreneurs in formulating relevant policies and sustaining social ventures.

Academic and business interest in sustainability and green practice has grown up considerably in recent years. Entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation are the two most researched issues in the SME sector. Instead, the business has proven a direct and indirect effect on our mother nature, which is not in favour of the environment. Even the SME sector and environmental issues are very closely related to upcoming challenges and opportunities for Bangladesh. So depending on previous studies, this paper presented a way of the better environmental performance of the SME sector that is positively influenced by green entrepreneurial orientation. Side of that, this paper also focused on the mediating effect of green market orientation. The main purpose of this paper can divide into two categories. One is a details literature view on the topics, and another is a conceptual framework for this research field. This study provides insights and suggestions from previous researches for government and a related organization, including business firms of the SME sector. The study also covers the significant outlines and reviews in this field. Further, it explores specific features of green practices in SME as well as limitations of present research; but it helps to stimulate further study.

In the context of diverse financial, environmental, and social issues worldwide, green market orientation (GMO), along with environmental orientation (EO), governmental support (GS), market competition (MC) and perceived organizational support for the environment (POS-E), could be a justified solution by the SME sector, as this sector holds the majority of business fields in most countries. Therefore, this study focuses on the betterment of the financial, environmental, and social performance of SME. This study also tried to advance the SDG goals 8 and 12 through the outcomes. Although this study considers the SMEs perspective of Bangladesh in the light of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) and Natural Resource-Based View (NRBV) theories, the scenario is almost the same in other developing countries. This study collected data from 221 SMEs through a questionnaire and used a cross-sectional design, and the data were analyzed by SEM-PLS. Findings of the study showed that EO, GS, and POS-E have a significant influence on business performance, which consists of financial, environmental, and social performance. Additionally, GMOs also showed a significant positive mediating influence between EO and BP, GS and BP, and POS-E and BP. However, this study also found the moderating impact of market competition (MC) to be negligible and weakens all hypotheses. In addition to broadening the perspective of TBL and NRBV and enhancing the existing literature, insights from this study will help the SEMs, policymakers, marketing practitioners, government, and supporting organizations to create an appropriate policy and business environment for overall higher business performance.

Entrepreneurial intentions among Gen Z university students in Bangladesh remain underexplored, particularly regarding the influence of education, access to finance and socioeconomic status. This study aims to investigate how these factors shape entrepreneurial intentions within a developing economy context. A quantitative research design was employed, using stratified random sampling of university students in Dhaka, and data were collected through structured questionnaires. Analysis was conducted using covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) with AMOS, which showed that all structural paths were statistically significant at p < 0.05. The study found a significant positive association between education and entrepreneurial intentions among Gen Z students in Bangladesh. Access to resources, particularly digital tools and crowdfunding platforms, was also significantly and positively associated with entrepreneurial intentions. Socioeconomic status demonstrated a further significant positive relationship with entrepreneurial intentions. Access to digital resources emerged as a strong direct predictor of entrepreneurial intention. These findings extend the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) within a developing economy context. In conclusion, education, resource access and socioeconomic status are key positive determinants of entrepreneurial intentions. Strengthening digital infrastructure and entrepreneurship education may enhance youth entrepreneurial outcomes. Broader studies beyond Dhaka are recommended to improve generalizability.

In developing countries, the role of women in the business sector is continuously improving. As a result, female enterprises have also been encouraged in Pakistan. This study is based on life cycle development phases from which women-owned enterprises have to go through in order to become successful. As a primary data source, face-to-face interviews with owners of successful women-owned enterprises were preferred. The data collection process was divided into two phases i.e. Phase-I and Phase-II. After data collection, qualitative analysis has been performed using NVIVO. Findings provide both generic and specific factors involved in life cycle development of women-owned enterprises. This study provides a detailed view of life cycle development model followed by successful women enterprises. The outcome of this research work is a theoretical finding which can be utilized by entrepreneurs owning small scale enterprises to improve their level of performance. Findings can also be helpful for potentially talented women interested in setting up their own business.
