In 2001, Wojciech Sikorski graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Poznań University of Technology with a master's degree in high-voltage engineering, and in 2005 he obtained a Ph.D. in technical sciences in the field of electrical engineering. He worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Stuttgart, Germany (2003); University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada (2007, postdoctoral fellowship), and CG Power Systems Canada Inc. (2007). He has participated in a few international and national research projects supported by the European Union and the Polish Government. He has published over 50 papers in journals and international conferences and two books, mainly on measurement, diagnostics, and on-line monitoring of power transformers with the use of acoustic emission (AE) and electromagnetic methods (HF/VHF/UHF).
