Background Private universities in Peru still need to implement digital transformation models to enhance the job performance of faculty and staff, achieving consistent improvement in the performance levels of university teachers by deploying technological and didactic tools for students. Therefore, the study aims to determine the relationship between digital transformation and the job performance of employees at a Private University. Methods The research approach was quantitative, employing a non-experimental, longitudinal correlational design. The technique used was a survey, applied to a sample of 104 employees (school heads, faculty, and a director) from the university on a national level from a total population of 144. Results Descriptive results reveal that the university has regularly adopted tools related to digital transformation. In particular, it has efficiently employed agile technologies, Big Data, and various technological means, benefiting 90% (52% and 38%) of the staff. The study also showed a high positive correlation (0.92>0.7) between digital transformation and the job performance of staff at the Private University, confirming that there is a significant connection between the variables studied. Conclusions Therefore, creating an innovative culture across all hierarchical levels and identifying key technologies that add value to the learning flow can meet the needs of an increasingly demanding society.
The study provides a detailed analysis of the competitiveness of Peruvian agro-exports, aiming to describe the export development of its four main products. Using a nonexperimental, quantitative, and descriptive approach, the research evaluates the exports of grapes, blueberries, avocados, and asparagus from Peru between 2018 and 2022. Tools such as pivot tables in Excel and data from SUNAT Customs and the International Trade Center were used, focusing on aspects like the number of importing countries, the number of exporting companies, net weight, FOB value, and primarily the Absolute Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (ARCAI). The results show significant growth in grape and blueberry exports, with an increase in volume and value, while asparagus and avocados face challenges in market and exporter diversification. The absolute ARCAI indicates a strong and stable specialization in these products. The conclusions highlight the need for differentiated strategies for each product. Specific recommendations are suggested for institutions such as MINAGRI, PROMPERÚ, ADEX, and INIA, aimed at promoting technology, quality, market diversification, and sustainable practices.
This study analyzed the export of blueberries from Peru, focusing on the diversification of markets and companies. A quantitative and descriptive methodology was employed. Data was collected from the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration of Peru (SUNAT), and the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI) was applied to quantify diversification. The findings revealed a significant increase in exports to the United States, United Kingdom, and Netherlands, with a notable rise in China. However, despite growth in the diversity of destinations, there was a concentration in target markets, with an HHI exceeding 3500 by 2023. On the corporate level, companies such as Camposol, Hortifrut-Peru, and Agrovision Peru showed remarkable growth, reflecting increased competitiveness and a decrease in market concentration, evidenced by an HHI below 700 in the same period. The study concludes by recommending expansion into emerging markets, particularly China, integration of sustainable agricultural practices, development of marketing strategies tailored to each market, and implementation of continuous market monitoring. These actions could strengthen Peru's position in the international blueberry market.

Background The study analyzes the impact of public health spending on malnutrition among Peruvians, using data from the National Household Survey, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics and the Ministry of Economy and Finance from 2010. -2020. Previous studies have revealed the existing relationship of health spending with the reduction of malnutrition. Methods A quantitative approach is considered, with an explanatory type of research using panel data methodology considering the bidimensionality of the data, which allows quantifying this effect for the Peruvian case using the National Household Survey, data from the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, as well as information from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics and the Transparency Portal of the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the period 2010-2020. Results The results show that public expenditure on health has a negative relationship with malnutrition; the rural sector has a positive relationship with malnutrition given the limitations present for access to adequate food. Similarly, the unemployment rate shows a positive relationship with malnutrition, given that being unemployed leads to a higher cause of malnutrition in the population, and the gross domestic product has a negative relationship with malnutrition, given that greater economic growth produces an impact on reducing malnutrition, with the greatest impact being on the rural population and the gross domestic product. Conclusions In the analysis period 2010-2020 in Peru, based on the panel data analysis, the impact of public health expenditure on reducing malnutrition is observed in 10 departments, achieving a reduction in malnutrition; while in 14 departments, this indicator has not been reduced.
Background International expansion has been identified as a pivotal strategy for SMEs seeking to achieve internationalisation and growth within the global market. However, as evidenced by extant literature, SMEs encounter numerous obstacles that impede their ability to access foreign markets, including a dearth of resources and experience, fierce competition from large and sustainable global companies. Therefore, the study seeks to identify the Business Intelligence factors that affect the export competitiveness of SMEs in a region of northern Peru. Methods The research had a quantitative, non-experimental and explanatory approach; being basic research focusing on the generation of theoretical knowledge about the factors that affect competitiveness through business intelligence strategies, for which 51 SMEs, economic units that currently maintain trade relations with international markets, were studied and the Logit model was used to identify those factors. Results The findings indicate that the binary logistic regression model demonstrates the significance of the market research and business management dimensions. The assertiveness matrix demonstrates a higher capacity to predict the 'No' response (76.5%) in comparison to the 'Yes' response (23.5%). It is noteworthy that the relative probability of enhancing competitiveness is estimated at 0.98 times when market identification, target market segment analysis and market research development are requested, as opposed to 0.95 times when external advice or assistance is obtained to formulate an alternative value proposition for the exportable product. Conclusions The market research and business management dimensions of Business Intelligence have a significant impact on the export competitiveness of SMEs in northern Peru, with market research being the factor with the greatest influence on the export competitiveness of SMEs. This finding highlights the importance of collecting and analysing accurate information on international markets in order to identify opportunities, reduce uncertainties and adapt products to the demands of global customers.
