This study aims to examine the levels of professional readiness and lifelong learning tendencies of individuals preparing for the KPSS (Public Personnel Selection Examination) and to determine whether these variables differ according to gender, age, and KPSS study duration. Accordingly, the research was designed within the framework of a relational and comparative survey model. The Professional Readiness Scale for Teaching and the Lifelong Learning Tendency Scale were used as data collection tools. Analyses were performed using SPSS 25.0 software, and parametric tests, as well as eta-squared (η²) and Cohen's d effect sizes, were calculated. The findings show a weak positive correlation between professional readiness and lifelong learning tendencies. Regarding age, a significant difference was found between the 18-22 and 23-27 age groups in terms of student development readiness and total readiness scores. Furthermore, a significant difference was found in the sub-dimension of readiness for student development according to KPSS study time, with this difference favoring those who studied 0-2 hours. In conclusion, it can be said that the professional readiness and lifelong learning tendencies of prospective teachers are only minimally affected by demographic variables, but study time may have an effect on some dimensions. In addition, the findings were discussed within the framework of the relevant literature, and practical suggestions for improving teacher training programs were presented.

This study aimed to examine the relationships among emotional labor, leisure literacy, and perceived well-being in individuals with pedagogical formation training. A correlational and comparative research design was employed in the study. The Emotional Labor Scale, the Leisure Time Literacy Scale, and the Perceived Well-being Scale were used as data collection tools in our research. The study was conducted on a voluntary basis. The population of the research consists of individuals who have completed teacher training in Istanbul, and the sample consists of individuals selected from this population using a convenience sampling method. In conclusion, a significant and robust relationship was identified between emotional labor, leisure literacy, and perceived well-being among individuals receiving pedagogical formation training. Individuals demonstrating more adaptive emotional regulation patterns and more effective leisure management were found to report higher levels of psychological well-being. Regression analyses indicated that emotional labor significantly predicted perceived well-being, whereas leisure literacy did not demonstrate a significant mediating effect. The findings suggest that integrating emotional regulation training and supporting leisure awareness within teacher education programs may contribute to psychological well-being and professional resilience.

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between conflict management styles and communication skills among sports management students and to determine whether these variables differ according to demographic characteristics such as gender and age. The study was designed using a quantitative correlational and causal-comparative research model. The sample consisted of 304 volunteer students enrolled in Sports Management Departments in Istanbul. Data were collected using the Conflict Management Styles Scale, the Communication Skills Scale, and a Personal Information Form. The data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analysis. The findings revealed significant gender differences in the compromising (p=.013), avoiding (p<.001), and collaborating (p=.018) dimensions of conflict management styles, with female students reporting higher scores than males. No significant gender differences were found in competing and accommodating styles (p>.05). Furthermore, no significant differences were observed in conflict management styles or communication skills according to age (p>.05). The results also indicated positive and significant relationships between conflict management styles and communication skills. Correlation coefficients ranged from low to moderate levels (r=.123–.558, p<.05), suggesting that students with higher communication skills tend to demonstrate more effective conflict management behaviors. In conclusion, communication skills and conflict management styles are positively associated among sports management students. Developing these competencies through educational programs may contribute to the professional development of future sports managers and improve their effectiveness in organizational communication and conflict resolution processes.

This study examined associations between perceived digital competence and AI-related competencies among sport management students in Türkiye, focusing on dimension-specific relationships and differences by formal AI education and AI tool use. A cross-sectional survey included 420 undergraduate and postgraduate sport management students. Digital competence was assessed with the 29-item Turkish COBADI®, and AI-related competencies with the 34-item MAILS. Confirmatory factor analysis, HTMT, bootstrapped path modelling (5000 resamples), and independent-samples t-tests with correction for multiple comparisons were conducted. COBADI® aggregate scores were positively associated with MAILS aggregate scores (β = 0.438, p < 0.001, R2 = 0.192, f2 = 0.238). The five digital competence dimensions accounted for 24.1% of the variance in AI Literacy, 21.8% in AI Self-Efficacy, 13.7% in Create AI, and 12.6% in AI Self-Competency. After FDR correction, significant dimension-specific associations were observed for Problem-Solving, Information and Data Literacy, Digital Content Development, and Communication across different AI-related competency domains, with statistically significant local effects ranging from negligible to small in magnitude. After Holm correction, students reporting formal AI education had higher AI Literacy scores, whereas students reporting AI tool use had higher MAILS aggregate, Create AI, AI Self-Efficacy, and Digital Content Development scores than those reporting no AI tool use. No statistically significant gender differences were observed. Perceived digital competence and AI-related competencies were associated in a multidimensional and non-uniform pattern among sport management students. These findings may inform future curriculum development and intervention-based research in sport management education, but they do not establish that targeting specific digital competencies, providing formal AI education, or using AI tools will produce improvements in AI-related competence.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between perceptions of digital leadership, psychological well-being and happiness levels of employees working in sports organisations and to determine whether these variables differ according to several demographic characteristics (gender, age, marital status, income status). A quantitative research approach was adopted; relational and causal-comparative survey models were used together. The study sample comprised 351 employees of sports organisations who remained after data cleaning, selected via convenience sampling. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Digital Leadership Scale, the Flourishing/Psychological Well-Being Scale and the Short Form of the Happiness at Work Scale. Descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s alpha reliability analyses, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson correlation, simple linear and multiple regression analyses were applied. The findings revealed that participants’ mean scores for digital leadership (M=3.84), psychological well-being (M=3.81) and happiness (M=3.77) were above the theoretical midpoint, and no statistically significant differences were observed according to gender, age, marital status and income status (p>.05). A low-level, positive and significant relationship was found between digital leadership and psychological well-being (r =.119; p<.05), whereas the relationships between digital leadership and happiness, and between psychological well-being and happiness, were not significant. Simple linear regression showed that digital leadership positively predicted psychological well-being (β=.119; p<.05) but did not predict happiness. Multiple regression analysis also indicated that digital leadership and psychological well-being together did not have a significant effect on happiness. In conclusion, the understanding of digital leadership in sports organisations partially supports the psychological well-being of employees but is not directly related to happiness levels.
