Sherif A. Zaid was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1970. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D.
degrees in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt,
in 1992, 1996, and 2001, respectively. He has been a full professor of power electronics.
with the Department of Electrical Power, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, since 2017.
He has published around 60 research papers and participated in many research projects. His
research interests include power electronics, renewable energy systems, and electrical drives. He is a reviewer for many reputable journals.
