These days, the usage of machine-learning-enabled dynamic Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) systems with multiple technologies for digital healthcare applications has been growing progressively in practice. Machine learning plays a vital role in the IoMT system to balance the load between delay and energy. However, the traditional learning models fraud on the data in the distributed IoMT system for healthcare applications are still a critical research problem in practice. The study devises a federated learning-based blockchain-enabled task scheduling (FL-BETS) framework with different dynamic heuristics. The study considers the different healthcare applications that have both hard constraint (e.g., deadline) and resource energy consumption (e.g., soft constraint) during execution on the distributed fog and cloud nodes. The goal of FL-BETS is to identify and ensure the privacy preservation and fraud of data at various levels, such as local fog nodes and remote clouds, with minimum energy consumption and delay, and to satisfy the deadlines of healthcare workloads. The study introduces the mathematical model. In the performance evaluation, FLBETS outperforms all existing machine learning and blockchain mechanisms in fraud analysis, data validation, energy and delay constraints for healthcare applications.
The Healthcare Management Information System (HCMIS) is a comprehensive collection of data systematically gathered at healthcare institutions to fulfill the requirements for statistical information on medical services. This research aimed to assess the use of HCMIS information and identify the elements that impact the efficiency of the medical system at the district and primary medical institution levels in Tanzania as a case study. This research was conducted in 11 districts in Tanzania and included 115 healthcare institutions. It was cross-sectional research. The data were gathered via a semi-structured survey given to healthcare professionals at the institution and district stages. The information was then recorded utilizing an observational checklist. The researchers used an analytical technique for thematic content to combine and validate the replies and findings and gather essential data. 93 healthcare institution personnel and 13 district authorities were surveyed. Approximately 61% of the facility participants said they utilized the HCMIS information, but only 39% of the district participants acknowledged consistently analyzing HCMIS information. Out of the participants from nine districts, 68% said that they regularly get feedback on the quality of their work from authority figures monthly and quarterly. The patient workload was often shown to significantly impact the efficiency of staff members in data collection and administration. Insufficient analysis and subpar use of information were prevalent in most districts and healthcare institutions in Tanzania. Inadequate human and financial resources, absence of rewards and monitoring, and lack of standard processes for data handling significantly hindered the HCMIS efficiency in Tanzania.

The concept of federated learning (FL) is becoming increasingly popular as a method for training collaborative models without loss the sensitive information. The term has become ubiquitous due to the extensive development of autonomous vehicles. Vehicular Networks and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) enable cooperative learning through federated learning. It is still necessary to address several technical challenges. In recent years, Federated Learning (FL) has attracted significant interest in various sectors, including smart cities and transportation systems. FL-enabled attack detection for IoVs are still in its infancy. However, to determine the main challenges of deployment in real-world scenarios, there needs to be research efforts from various areas. Performance metrics are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed FL framework. According to experiments, the proposed FL approach detected attacks in IOV networks with a maximum accuracy of 99.72%. In addition to precision, recall, and F1 scores, 99.70%, 99.20%, and 99.26% were achieved. A comparison of the proposed model with the existing model shows that the proposed model is more accurate.
Diabetes is a chronic disease that can affect human health negatively when the glucose levels in the blood are elevated over the creatin range called hyperglycemia. The current devices for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) supervise the glucose level in the blood and alert user to the type-1 Diabetes class once a certain critical level is surpassed. This can lead the body of the patient to work at critical levels until the medicine is taken in order to reduce the glucose level, consequently increasing the risk of causing considerable health damages in case of the intake is delayed. To overcome the latter, a new approach based on cutting-edge software and hardware technologies is proposed in this paper. Specifically, an artificial intelligence deep learning (DL) model is proposed to predict glucose levels in 30 min horizons. Moreover, Cloud computing and IoT technologies are considered to implement the prediction model and combine it with the existing wearable CGM model to provide the patients with the prediction of future glucose levels. Among the many DL methods in the state-of-the-art (SoTA) have been considered a cascaded RNN-RBM DL model based on both recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and restricted Boltzmann machines (RBM) due to their superior properties regarding improved prediction accuracy. From the conducted experimental results, it has been shown that the proposed Cloud&DL-based wearable approach achieves an average accuracy value of 15.589 in terms of RMSE, then outperforms similar existing blood glucose prediction methods in the SoTA.
