As a technique of producing fabric engineering scaffolds, three-dimensional (3D) printing has tremendous possibilities. 3D printing applications are restricted to a wide range of biomaterials in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Due to their biocompatibility, bioactiveness, and biodegradability, biopolymers such as collagen, alginate, silk fibroin, chitosan, alginate, cellulose, and starch are used in a variety of fields, including the food, biomedical, regeneration, agriculture, packaging, and pharmaceutical industries. The benefits of producing 3D-printed scaffolds are many, including the capacity to produce complicated geometries, porosity, and multicell coculture and to take growth factors into account. In particular, the additional production of biopolymers offers new options to produce 3D structures and materials with specialised patterns and properties. In the realm of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (TERM), important progress has been accomplished; now, several state-of-the-art techniques are used to produce porous scaffolds for organ or tissue regeneration to be suited for tissue technology. Natural biopolymeric materials are often better suited for designing and manufacturing healing equipment than temporary implants and tissue regeneration materials owing to its appropriate properties and biocompatibility. The review focuses on the additive manufacturing of biopolymers with significant changes, advancements, trends, and developments in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering with potential applications.

In the automotive and aerospace industry, abrasive products lodge the major portion of the machining applications. Among that, the coated abrasive disc is used for a finishing application. Once the disc is fully consumed, the disc is unused and considered waste. The present work focuses on removing phenol-formaldehyde resin coating, and the fiber backing is reused for the same coated abrasive disc production application as flexible fiber backing. A sandblasting technique removes phenol-formaldehyde resin coating and embedded abrasive grains. During the fiber backing recovery process, the experimental parameters such as abrasive pressure, abrasive type, abrasive size, and orientation of the disc are varied to find out the optimal surface roughness value for reusing the produced coated abrasive discs. The results highlight that the recovered backing has an abrasive size of 120 mesh pressure of 0.20 MPa, an abrasive type of garnet, and a standoff distance of 1 mm. Surface features such as surface roughness and micrographs of the eroded surface are analyzed. Finally, the recovered backing was reused in the coated abrasive disc production, and the performance of the recovered disc was compared with the standard discs. The recovered fiber backing disc product was similar to a standard fresh disc.

Composite materials with carbon nanotube and graphene attachments have been regarded as promising prospects. Carbon nanocomposites have gained considerable interest in different fields including biomedical applications due to its exceptional structural dimensions and outstanding mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, and chemical characteristics. The significant advances made in carbon nanocomposite over past years along with the discovery of new nanocomposite processing technologies to improvise the functional impact of nanotube and graphene composites by providing proper methods of synthesis and improving the production of diverse composite based on carbon nanomaterials are discussed. Carbon nanocomposites are applied in various fields such as aviation, batteries, chemical industry, fuel cell, optics, power generation, space, solar hydrogen, sensors, and thermoelectric devices. The recent design, fabrication, characteristics, and applications of carbon nanocomposites such as active carbon, carbon black, graphene, nanodiamonds, and carbon nanotubes are explained in detail in this research. It is found that unlike traditional fiber composites, Van der Waals force interfacial compounds have an important effect on the mechanical performance of carbon nanomaterial-based composites.

The numerical, analytical, theoretical and experimental study of thermal transport is an active field of research due to its enormous applications and use in numerous systems. This report covers the impacts of thermal transport on pseudo-plastic material past over a horizontal, heated and stretched porous sheet. Modeling of energy conservation is based upon a generalized heat flux model along with a heat generation/absorption factor. The modeled phenomenon is derived in the Cartesian coordinate system under the usual boundary-layer approach proposed by Prandtl, which removes the complexity of the problem. The modeled rheology is obtained in the form of coupled, nonlinear PDEs. These derived PDEs are converted into ODEs with the engagement of similarity transformation. Afterwards, converted ODEs containing some emerging parameters have been approximated numerically with a powerful and effective scheme, namely the finite element approach. The obtained results are compared with the published findings as a limiting case of current research, and an excellent agreement in the obtained solution was found, which guarantees the effectiveness of the used methodology. Furthermore, it is recommended that the finite element approach is a good method among other existing methods and can be effectively applied to nonlinear problems arising in the mathematical modeling of different phenomenon.
