Remote monitoring is the most important stage in controlling the technical condition of a modern vehicle under operating conditions. Remote control of the technical condition involves using V2I systems in order to form and apply individual maintenance and repair systems. V2I information model developed in the article is characterized by vehicle digital field, limited by regulatory rules, with means for technical condition parameters monitoring and components of infrastructure for each vehicle monitoring. The article describes the peculiarities of V2I information system and the process of monitoring and evaluating the vehicle technical condition under operating conditions with the possibility of forecasting. The monitoring information system is designed to ensure the vehicle efficient operation under non-stationary operating conditions, with continuous consideration of information from road and transport infrastructure. The developed monitoring system is adapted for constructive modernization of the vehicle taking into account the conditions of its operation. It also uses new technological and information methods and approaches for choosing a maintenance and repair strategy. The system is based on the previous information processing, continuous diagnostics of the technical condition and the ability to predict the parameters of the vehicle technical condition. The scheme of information exchange between the ITS vehicle elements, transport infrastructure and road infrastructure when monitoring the parameters of the vehicle technical condition under operating conditions is suggested. The structure and interconnection of functional capabilities of the vehicle on-board information system is proposed. The main idea is to implement the V2I information system for monitoring the technical condition parameters. The system is based on the general approach to investigate the "Vehicle - Driver - Operating Conditions - Vehicle Operation Infrastructure" system. As a result of the system experimental implementation, the changes in the vehicle technical condition parameters have been observed when changing the operating conditions when a separate vehicle interacts with transport and road infrastructure.
The design stages have been developed and the structure of the locomotive decision support system, which incorporates the features of the railway transport operation has been obtained. To take into account not only quantitative, but also qualitative characteristics of the locomotive driver or intellectual decision support system, it is proposed to use fuzzy logic methods. Hence it was possible to determine and calculate the additive quality criterion of the intellectual system controlling activity. The results of the work make it possible to model the activity of the locomotive brigade more qualitatively, which in the future will serve as the basis for the development of autonomous intelligent locomotive control systems. The developed method is given for three main criteria of work considering safety, energy consumption and implementation of the traffic schedule. However, for a more flexible and accurate modelling, this approach allows the introduction of additional criteria, and the simplicity of calculation provides the necessary speed when implemented on the on-board locomotive computers.

The object of this study is the processes of prescriptive technical maintenance (TM) of vessel machinery and structures of cargo ships. The task addressed relates to the insufficient efficiency of conventional methods for vessel machinery TM, which leads to increased risks of failures and enhanced operating costs. In this work, algorithmic support to a system of comprehensive prescriptive maintenance of cargo ships based on predictive monitoring methods has been developed. Data on the parameters of machinery technical condition were experimentally acquired and systemized; a comprehensive analysis of costs, risks, and reliability was carried out using the developed algorithms. The results demonstrated that applying the proposed methodology could reduce the cost of maintenance by up to 44.4%, as well as decrease the risk of malfunctions by up to 89.4%. It has been established that the total economic effect of optimizing the maintenance processes of the principal engine components equals USD 4849 per life cycle of the machinery. This confirms the feasibility and effectiveness of using comprehensive predictive monitoring in vessel TM systems. Special feature of the results is their integrated nature, which makes it possible to simultaneously consider technical and economic aspects of TM. This is what makes it possible to avoid the shortcomings inherent in conventional regulatory systems, ensuring a higher level of operational reliability and economic efficiency of cargo ships. The practical application of the devised methodology is possible provided that the proposed algorithms are integrated into vessel operation processes with appropriate information and analytical support, including automated data collection and continuous monitoring of machinery condition
Internal combustion engines, which operate in various load and speed conditions, are significant sources of environmental pollution that affect a vehicle's movement in traffic. Automotive engines typically operate in unsteady-state modes, transitioning cyclically from one operating mode to another during vehicle operation. The potential of using biogas as an additive to compressed natural gas for automotive engines was explored within this research. The results of experimental studies on the fuel efficiency and environmental performance of a vehicle with a petrol engine, converted to run on a mixture of compressed natural gas and biogas, are presented. A comparative analysis was conducted on the fuel and economic performance, as well as environmental indicators of A-92 petrol, compressed natural gas, and a mixture of compressed natural gas and biogas in the European driving cycle modes.
