Salim Hiziroglu has Ph.D. degree in Wood Products from Michigan State University, MS degree in Wood Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and BS degree in Forest Products Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University in Turkey. Currently, Dr. Hiziroglu is Professor in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management (NREM) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) where he teaches courses in the area of forest products. He also has extension and research appointments at OSU. His research has focused primarily on value-added wood composite panel technology. He worked for 1.5 years in Malaysia as an international consultant to develop a new wood products program at University of Tun Hussein Onn in Johor while he was previously employed in the Department of Forestry at Michigan State University.
