The recent developments in the wireless body area networks (WBAN) play a vital role in the modern remote health care monitoring system. In WBAN, the deployed intelligent, resource-limited body sensors will collect the patient's biological information (BI) and communicate the same to the doctor for further action through the Internet. But during the communication among the WBAN entities, the privacy, security of the BI, and user's personal data need to be protected against various security threats. To address these security flaws, in this article, a computationally efficient privacy-preserving anonymous authentication scheme is proposed for resource-limited WBAN. Also, it preserves the physical security of sensors and the confidentiality of BI and provides conditional privacy to the WBAN users. The comprehensive security and performance evaluation phase ensures that the proposed scheme is efficient and secure in terms of computational and communication complexity when compared with the other conventional schemes.
The recent advancement in wireless body area networks (WBAN) plays an important role in remote health care systems. However, these networks are suffering from data security and privacy threats. Lack of anonymous authentication and secure data communication leads to operation failure in WBAN. Computational cost and privacy preservation are the two major hindrances for anonymous authentication in many existing schemes. Therefore, a secure and efficient privacy-preserving anonymous authentication scheme is proposed to provide data security and privacy to the users with low computational and communication cost. The performance analysis and experimental simulation results ensure that our proposed anonymous authentication method outperforms the existing systems in terms of providing data security and privacy with less computational overhead.
Automatic Dependent Surveillance‐Broadcast (ADS‐B) system provides significant improvements in air traffic control system such as optimal routing in non‐radar environments with a new level of safety and efficiency. The ADS‐B system is being installed in many aircrafts in recent year. The ADS‐B equipped aircraft broadcasts the air traffic information to nearby aircraft and ground stations either once or twice per second. Because of the open channel communication atmosphere, the ADS‐B system is affected by many security attacks. Many authentication and batch verification schemes are available to provide data integrity and source authentication for the ADS‐B system. But they are suffering from computational overhead and communication overhead. Hence, an efficient anonymous authentication scheme is proposed for the ADS‐B system with batch verification based on Message Recovery Signature (MRS). The security and performance analysis section ensure that the proposed scheme provides essential security features with less computational and communication overhead comparison with the other existing schemes.
Wireless body area networks ( WBAN ) are essential components of intelligent healthcare monitoring techniques. Especially, when the number and datatype in WBAN increases. In WBAN , secure multidimensional data aggregation received a lot of attention. However, the related schemes consume more computational and communication overhead to encrypt/decrypt the multidimensional health reports. In this paper, a blockchain-assisted scalable and secure multidimensional data aggregation scheme is introduced for fog-based WBAN . The multidimensional health data are efficiently generated, encrypted, and decrypted by using the Paillier cryptosystem. Further, the batch verification method is used to achieve efficient authentication. The proposed system offers significant security attributes with less computation and communication overhead in comparison with competing systems. Further, it supports statistical analyses such as summation and variance to analyze the received health report.
Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) have a lot of potential for improving traffic management and driver safety. However, employing a wireless channel for vehicle communication has security and privacy concerns such as authentication, confidentiality, integrity, access control, and availability. Hence, it is essential to address the security and privacy aspects of the vehicles utilized in these contexts. In this research, a blockchain-based physically secure, and privacy-aware anonymous authentication technique leveraging the fog computing architecture to support the movement, reduced latency, and location monitoring is suggested to solve security and privacy concerns. The decentralized nature of blockchain technology is used to ensure the data security of vehicles. The vehicle is not required to store the secret keys to do anonymous authentication and provides physical security for the vehicle. The suggested scheme provides essential security features with less storage, computational, and communication costs than related competitive schemes.
