Dr. Andrea Cattaneo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Science and High Technology,
University of Insubria. He earned a Master’s degree in Geological Sciences in 2000 and a PhD in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene in 2005 from the University of Milan. He also completed a 2nd Level Master’s Degree in Toxicology from the University of Pavia in 2008. He served as a laboratory technician coordinator and as head of the Laboratory of Diffractometry and Microscopy at the Dep. of Occupational and Environmental Health, University of Milan. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a member of the Italian Association of Industrial Hygienists (AIDII). His research interests include human exposure assessment in occupational, urban, and indoor environments, indoor air quality, health impact assessment, population exposure modelling, risk assessment arising from nanoparticle exposures, risk management and public health, particulate matter, mineral fibers, and volatile organic compounds.
