Dr Khalis is an active researcher in the faculty and has received several grants from various national/international sources. To date, Dr Khalis has had more than 10 grants including international, national and university grants amounting to a total of MYR 1 million. In terms of publication, Dr. Khalis has authored 80 international journals (with impact factors ranging from 1.2 to 4.8) and 20 international and national proceedings. He has reviewed 40 international journal papers from reputable and well-established publishers. His current research interests include radiation physics, medical imaging, radiation dosimeters, and image processing.
