Nives Matijaković Mlinarić was born in 1991 in Koprivnica, Croatia. She graduated in 2015 from the University of Zagreb at the Faculty of Science, Croatia. In 2021, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the same faculty. During her studies, she won the Rector’s Award and was awarded the Medal of the Department of Chemistry for excellent success during her studies. She was awarded funding from the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU), the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) to conduct independent research and the Slovenian Research Agency for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Seal of Excellence project. She is a member of the Croatian Microscopy Society, the European Microscopy Society (EMS), and a Representative of assistants on the council of the Department of Materials Chemistry (2022) at Ruđer Bošković Institute, Croatia.
