Demand response (DR) strategies are recieving much attention recently for their applications in the residential sector. Electric vehicles (EVs), which are considered to be a fairly new consumer load in the power sector, have opened up new opportunities by providing the active utilization of EVs as a storage unit. Considering their storage capacities, they can be used in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) or vehicle-to-community (V2C) options instead of taking power in peak times from the grid itself. This paper suggests a community-based home energy management system for microgrids to achieve flatter power demand and peak demand shaving using particle swarm optimization (PSO) and user-defined constraints. A dynamic clustered load scheduling scheme is proposed, including a method for managing peak shaving using rules specifically designed for PV systems that are grid-connected alongside battery energy storage systems and electric vehicles. The technique being proposed involves determining the limits of feed-in and demand dynamically, using estimated load demands and profiles of PV power for the following day. Additionally, an optimal rule-based management technique is presented for the peak shaving of utility grid power that sets the charge/discharge schedules of the battery and EV one day ahead. Utilizing the PSO algorithm, the optimal inputs for implementing the rule-based peak shaving management strategy are calculated, resulting in an average improvement of about 7% in percentage peak shaving (PPS) when tested using MATLAB for numerous case studies.
Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has recently gained significant attention due to their efficient structures, cost-effectiveness, easy availability, and tendency to form an ad hoc wireless mobile network. IoT-enabled UAV is a new research domain that uses location tracking with the advancement of aerial technology. In this context, the importance of 3D aerial networks is attracting a lot of attention recently. It has various applications related to information processing, communication, and location-based services. Location identification of wireless nodes is a challenging job and of extreme importance. In this study, we introduced a novel technique for finding indoor and open-air three-dimensional (3D) areas of nodes by measuring the signal strength. The mathematical formulation is based on a path loss model and decision tree machine learning classifier. We constructed 2D and 3D models to gather more accurate information on the nodes. Simulation findings demonstrate that the proposed machine learning-based model excels in nodes location estimation, the actual and estimated distance of different nodes, and calculation of received signal strength in aerial ad hoc networks. In addition, the decision tree constructs an offline phase control in the flying vehicle’s location to enhance the time complexity along with experimental accuracy.

Power scheduling of domestic appliances is a vital preference for bridging the gap between demand and generation of electricity in a microgrid. For a stable microgrid, an acceptable mechanism must reduce the peak to average ratio (PAR) of power demand with supplementary benefits for consumers as reduced electricity charges. Recent studies have focused on PAR and cost reduction for a small consumer population. Furthermore, researchers have mainly considered homogeneous consumer loads. This study focuses on residential power scheduling for electricity cost reduction for consumers and load profile PAR curtailment for a relatively large consumer population with non-homogeneous loads. A sample population of 1000 consumers from various classes of society is considered. The proposed dynamic clustered community home energy management system (DCCHEMS) allows the clustering of appliances based on time overlap criteria. Comparatively flatter power demand is attained by utilizing the clustered appliances in conjunction with particle swarm optimization under the influence of user-defined constraints. Modified inclined block rates with real-time electricity pricing strategies are deployed to minimize the electricity costs. DCCHEMS achieved higher efficiency rates in contrast to the traditional non-clustering and static clustering optimization schemes. An improvement of 21% in peak to average ratio, 4% in cost reduction, and 19% in variance to mean ratio is obtained.
In recent few years, flying ad hoc networks are utilized more for interconnectivity. In the topological scenario of FANETs, IoT nodes are available on ground where UAVs collect information. Due to high mobility patterns of UAVs cause disruption where intruders easily deploy cyberattacks like DoS/DDoS. Flying ad hoc networks use to have UAVs, satellite, and base station in the physical structure. IoT-based UAV networks are having many applications which include agriculture, rescue operations, tracking, and surveillance. However, DoS/DDoS attacks disturb the behaviour of entire FANET which lead to unbalance energy, end-to-end delay, and packet loss. This research study is focused about the detail study of machine learning-based IDS. Also, cognitive lightweight-LR approach is modeled using UNSW-NB 15 dataset. IoT-based UAV network is introduced using machine learning to detect possible security attacks. The queuing and data traffic model is utilized to implement DT, RF, XGBoost, AdaBoost, Bagging and logistic regression in the environment of IoT-based UAV network. Logistic regression is the proposed approach which is used to estimate statistical possibility. Overall, experimentation is based on binomial distribution. There exists linear association approach in logistic regression. In comparison with other techniques, logistic regression behaviour is lightweight and low cost. The simulation results presents logistic regression better results in contrast with other techniques. Also, high accuracy is balanced well in optimal way.
Cancerous tumor cells divide uncontrollably, which results in either tumor or harm to the immune system of the body. Due to the destructive effects of chemotherapy, optimal medications are needed. Therefore, possible treatment methods should be controlled to maintain the constant/continuous dose for affecting the spreading of cancerous tumor cells. Rapid growth of cells is classified into primary and secondary types. In giving a proper response, the immune system plays an important role. This is considered a natural process while fighting against tumors. In recent days, achieving a better method to treat tumors is the prime focus of researchers. Mathematical modeling of tumors uses combined immune, vaccine, and chemotherapies to check performance stability. In this research paper, mathematical modeling is utilized with reference to cancerous tumor growth, the immune system, and normal cells, which are directly affected by the process of chemotherapy. This paper presents novel techniques, which include Bernstein polynomial (BSP) with genetic algorithm (GA), sliding mode controller (SMC), and synergetic control (SC), for giving a possible solution to the cancerous tumor cells (CCs) model. Through GA, random population is generated to evaluate fitness. SMC is used for the continuous exponential dose of chemotherapy to reduce CCs in about forty-five days. In addition, error function consists of five cases that include normal cells (NCs), immune cells (ICs), CCs, and chemotherapy. Furthermore, the drug control process is explained in all the cases. In simulation results, utilizing SC has completely eliminated CCs in nearly five days. The proposed approach reduces CCs as early as possible.
