Lorenzo Vigna received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2015 and 2018, completing his master’s thesis during a six-month research internship at IBM Research Center in Almaden, California. In 2022, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering (Electronic Devices) from Politecnico di Torino. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher within the MP4MNT group (led by Prof. C.F. Pirri) in the research line headed by Prof. M. Cocuzza. Formerly based at the ChiLab facility in Chivasso, he is now hosted at the INRIM campus, working within the PiQuET clean-room shared facility (www.piquetlab.it). While his early research focused on conductive polymers and electronic devices for gas sensing applications, his current activities center on cleanroom micro- and nanofabrication techniques—including photolithography, thin-film deposition, wet/dry etching, and microfluidic integration—for the design and optimization of electronic biosensors and lab-on-a-chip systems.
