Yongyi Chen received a B.S. degree from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, in 2008, and a Ph.D. degree from the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun, China, in 2013. From 2013 to 2016, he was a Research Assistant with CIOMP, where he has been an Assistant Professor since 2016. He is the coauthor of 1 book, more than 50 articles, and more than 20 inventions. His research interests include the simulation and fabrication of semiconductor lasers and applications, nanoscale gratings and photonic crystals, and semiconductor materials. He received the First Prize for Science and Technology of Jilin Province in 2015.
