Vitor Monteiro received the Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics and Energy Systems in 2016, and the M.Sc. in Industrial Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2010. Both are from the University of Minho, Portugal. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics, School of Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal. His research activity has been developed at the Group of Energy and Power Electronics (GEPE) of the Centro ALGORITMI, University of Minho, in the fields of industrial and power electronics. He is an IEEE Senior Member, Vice-Chair of the IEEE PES (Power & Energy Society) Portugal Section Chapter, and a Member of IEEE IES, IEEE PELS, and IEEE PES.
