Al2O3 coatings were applied on the surface of 12Ch18N10T steel by the detonation method at different degrees of filling of the detonation gun. The aim was to study the influence of technological parameters on the formation of the coating’s structure, phase composition and tribological characteristics. The degree of filling the gun with a gas mixture (C2H2/O2) varied from 53% to 68%. X-ray diffraction study showed that the content of α-Al2O3 increases depending on the degree of filling. The results showed that the hardness increases with an increase in the α-Al2O3 phase. When the gun is 53% filled with gas, the Al2O3-based coating has the hardness of 20.56 GPa compared to 58%, 63% and 68% fillings. Tribology tests have shown that the wear rate and friction coefficient of the coating is highly dependent on the degree of filling of the gun.

The synthesis of new composite nanomaterials based on graphene oxide (GO)modified with cellulose and its derivatives, as well as nanocellulose, is currently an important direction and contributes toward solving many problems in various fields such as nanotechnology, information technology, medicine, high-dielectric materials, and nanoelectronics. In this work, for the first time, for the production of GO and its membrane with carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), local Kazakhstan “Ognevsky” graphite was used as the initial raw material. In this regard, the preparation of nanocomposites of GO modified with cellulose derivatives, including CMC, attracts great interest from scientists and expands its field of practical application due to the significant changes in its physicochemical properties. In this work, the GO obtained using the Hummers method was modified by CMC, and its physicochemical, structural, and electrical characteristics were studied. The GO/CMC membrane was synthesized by mixing 1% GO with crushed solid mass of CMC (0.03 g; 0.06 g; 0.15 g) and then processing using ultrasound. The surface morphology of the GO/CMC membrane was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It has been established that by increasing the mass of CMC (0.03 g; 0.06 g; 0.15 g), the polymerization of CMC occurs on the surface of GO nanosheets. Cross-sectional micrographs of GO/CMC show the formation of sandwich-like layered structures. The synthesis efficiency (yield) of GO from synthetic graphite is 10.8%, and GO from Ognevsky graphite is 11.9%, almost 1.1% more than GO from synthetic graphite. The mechanical tensile strength increases from 2.3 MPa to 14.3 MPa and the Young’s modulus from 2.3 MPa to 143 MPa. The electrical parameters of the humidity sensor based on GO and GO/CMC membranes (0.03 g; 0.06 g; 0.15 g) were studied as a function of humidity to determine the performance of the device.

One of the most interesting and poorly studied carriers of medicinal substances is the polymer clay composite material (PCCM). Bentonite clays are used in pharmacy for the manufacturing of various dosage forms, as well as in the adsorption of drugs to slow their release. Polymer–clay nanocomposites have demonstrated significantly improved properties compared to pure polymers. A review of recent scientific advances has shown promising results regarding the application of polymer–clay materials in medicine and bioengineering, particularly in the development of carrier sorbents with prolonged action for controlled drug release. As a result, interest in polymer–clay systems is steadily growing and gaining momentum. This paper focuses on the structure and properties of bentonite clays, including their sorption, ion exchange, binding, and rheological properties. The methods for preparing intercalated and exfoliated nanocomposites, such as radical intercalative polymerization in situ on clay surfaces, are reviewed. Furthermore, the improved efficacy and exposure times of PCCMs, combined with their enhanced bactericidal properties, are analyzed for the creation of universal and multifunctional preparations for medical use.

This work investigates the effect of titanium content and the duration of mechanical alloying on the structural and phase state of powder mixtures in the Ni–Al–Ti system. The initial mixtures of Ni68Al25Ti7, Ni72Al22Ti6, Ni70Al21Ti9, and Ni75Al25 were subjected to high-energy milling in a planetary ball mill for 1–6 h. It was found that the addition of titanium accelerates the dissolution of components and promotes the formation of a supersaturated fcc Ni(Al,Ti) solid solution. The most pronounced effects were observed for the Ni70Al21Ti9 composition, where after 6 h of alloying, the minimum crystallite size (11.3 nm) and maximum lattice strain (1.52%) were achieved. It is shown that titanium reduces the tendency for cold welding and promotes more uniform particle refinement. The optimal conditions for synthesizing a nanocrystalline solid solution with a homogeneous structure are a titanium content of 9 at.% and a mechanical alloying duration of 6 h. The resulting powders are promising for subsequent sintering and application in structural and heat-resistant intermetallic alloys and coatings.

Currently, the obtaining and implementation of self-degradable, harmless to the nature of composite materials based on cellulose, allows to solve a number of environmental problems. In this regard, the number of raw materials sources from which cellulose can be obtained increases, the economic and environmental efficiency of its usage and the properties of the obtained cellulose can be studied. In this study, from sunflower husk (SFH)P63LE10 «Pioneer» (USA) using glacial acetic acid and based on acetic acid with 42% concentration peroxyacetic acid, process of obtaining microcrystalline cellulose comparatively was studied. As a result of the study, based on acetic acid with 42% concentration in combination peroxyacetic acid was determined, that yield of obtained MCC (MCC2) was 3,7%, and also quantity of α-cellulose was higher to 3,6%. However, the quality of the residual lignin was 24.02%, and the trace quantity of amorphous structure was determined by IR spectroscopy and XRD diffractometry. On the contrary, the yield and quantity of α-cellulose obtained MMC1 using glacial acetic acid in combination peroxyacetic acid is lower than MMC2, obtained product was different by high degree of purity and content of the ordered part of cellulose with crystallographic orientation of macromolecules.
